Monday 12th June - walk **** Landguard circuit - cloudy start then sunny and hot.

We didn?t have a plan today as Mag had an appointment at the dentists at 10.40 and we were not sure if here was an injection involved, this gave me time to do my exercises in the back garden, cloudy start but still hot! Then we drive to the dentist in Walton and Mag gets some top dental service, we are impressed, Mag has a numb month so we head to Lidl and home. Then in the afternoon with the sun making an appearance we drive down to Landguard for one of our favourite local walks, a stroll around the nature reserve:) As it hasn?t rained here for weeks now the grass has gone very brown with temperatures exceeding 25 degrees here today and hot all week, so we were not surprised there were no rabbits to be seen, not many people either, just a few cyclists, just how we like it:) There were a few birds about including sparrows, linnets, dunnocks, oyster catchers, pigeons, gulls and magpies as we walked around the edge by the brambles, then down to the small wooden pier where we got a nice breeze to cool us done, only a couple of container ships in the docks and a few yachts out to sea! Back by the fenced off nesting area, still haven?t spotted anything nesting and over the small hills and back to the van and home for a welcome cuppa.
Tomorrow is looking promising for a windsurf foil at The Dip as a moderate easterly might make an appearance, good tide too:)

Always love to get the Felixstowe Town Council Magazine, so well put together and features loads of my pics including the cover, well chuffed, made my day:)
